In the second quarter of 2023, the top travel and local apps on the Android platform in Finland showed varying performance trends in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Here are the insights based on data from Sensor Tower:

VR Matkalla experienced a noticeable uptick in weekly downloads, which rose from around 3.5K at the end of March to a peak of approximately 5.8K in early June, before stabilizing at around 5.4K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users also saw growth, increasing from about 19.3K to 21.8K over the same period.

HSL - tickets & route planner demonstrated a fluctuating download pattern, with a significant spike reaching 7K downloads in the week of May 22, and closing the quarter at around 5.1K downloads. Active users saw a decline from about 59.7K at the end of March to approximately 52.3K by the end of June.

TIER Electric scooters saw consistent growth in weekly downloads, starting from a modest 202 in late March and peaking at 4.7K in mid-June. The app's active users also increased, rising from 15.4K to a high of 20.6K in early June, before slightly decreasing to 18.7K by the end of the quarter.

Ryde - Always nearby exhibited significant growth in weekly downloads, starting from 14 in late March and reaching up to 3.4K in mid-June. Active users for Ryde increased consistently, rising from 4.8K to a peak of 10.4K in mid-June, before ending the quarter at around 9.3K.
